Frequently Asked Questions

How many children can I have at my party?
MagicWorks offer an all inclusive party price and so you may have an unlimited number of children at your party. You should try to have a minimum group of 12 children just to ensure a lively atmosphere and a nice selection of characters.

My child is shy and will not wish to help on stage - is this a problem? Prior to the start of the show the entertainer will mingle with the children as they arrive for the party.
During this time, the entertainer will gather information about the children, understanding their characters and building a friendly rapport with each one. This avoids embarrassing situations during the show.

No child will be pressured to do anything they do not want to do. All the children help the entertainer in a number of ways, as individuals and in a group, on the stage and from within the audience. In most instances, by the end of the show ALL the children are desperate to help out.

Can you cater for children with special needs?
Absolutely. Please let us know ahead of time if any of the children have special needs so we can prepare our presentation to suit.

Do you have different shows?
Yes, we have a number of different shows available for repeat bookings. However, if an alternative show is required please check with the birthday child whether they want to see their favourite parts of the show again. This is usually the case - please let us know so we can tailor the show just for you. Remember, children still love to see the same show again, and in some instances insist on having the same one!

Do you only do birthdays?
No, MagicWorks can provide entertainment for any occasion. Call us to discuss your exact needs.

When do I have to pay for my party?
A deposit is required seven days after confirming your reservation. Full payment will be required one week prior to the performance date.

Can I have a joint party?
Shared parties with more than one child is a cost effective way to hold a party. This is not a problem, however the age of the children must be the same. It is not possible to provide a show for a mixed range, for example, of 5 and 8 year-olds. It simply will not work as well.
